A Multimedia Skills Competition for Students
We want to hear your take on, "Science and Innovation in the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games."
The Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games have long been a showcase for science, discovery and innovation. Products ranging from the latest athletic apparel and equipment to green sports facilities to security technologies are unveiled during the games. High-performance athletes demonstrate the results of leading-edge conditioning and nutritional regimes. Sponsors, participants and organizers alike use the global coverage to expose their newest innovations to the world!
This science journalism competition challenges you to communicate science and innovation in exciting and creative ways. Whatever aspect of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games you choose, put your media skills to the test and create and submit an original journalistic piece explaining the science behind it.
The competition is open to secondary and post-secondary students in British Columbia or the Yukon Territory.
